Yoga Knee Pad 15mm – Extra Thick TPE Cushion for Knees, Elbows & Wrists

Price range: $22.44 through $64.83

A 15 mm yoga knee pad gives extra-thick cushioning for kneeling poses and floor work. It is dense TPE with a non-slip textured surface, sized to sit on a mat. Use it on top of your mat rather than instead of it — a knee pad is too small for standing sequences.

Your Mat Is Not Thick Enough for Your Knees

This is a 15mm extra thick TPE yoga knee pad measuring 60x25cm, priced at $22.44, non-slip and available in four color options. A standard yoga mat is 4–6mm thick – enough for the soles of your feet, nowhere near enough for a kneecap pressed into a hard floor. Rather than buying a thicker mat and losing the stability you need for standing poses, a knee pad puts 15mm of cushion exactly where the pressure is and nowhere else.

Key Benefits

  • 15mm of cushion. Two to three times the thickness of a standard mat, exactly where your joints meet the floor.
  • Does not compromise your mat. A thick mat wobbles in standing poses – a knee pad keeps the mat thin and the knees protected.
  • Knees, elbows and wrists. Fold it under the heel of your hand in plank, or under an elbow in forearm work.
  • Non-slip TPE. Grips the mat instead of sliding out from under you mid-pose.
  • Small and portable. 60x25cm – rolls into a bag with the mat.

How to Use

  • Place it under the knees in kneeling poses, lunges and cat-cow.
  • Slide it under the wrists in plank and downward dog if wrist extension is uncomfortable.
  • Use it under the elbows for forearm planks and dolphin.
  • Also works as a travel sit-pad, a gardening kneeler, or under the knees for floor work at home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why not just buy a thicker yoga mat?

Because a thick mat is unstable underfoot. Standing balance poses become harder and less safe on a squashy surface. A knee pad gives you 15mm exactly where you need it and leaves the mat thin and stable everywhere else.

What can I use it for besides knees?

Wrists in plank and downward dog, elbows in forearm work, and as a sit-pad in meditation. It also works well as a gardening kneeler.

Will it slide on my mat?

It is a non-slip TPE surface designed to grip the mat rather than shift under load.

Is TPE better than PVC?

TPE is lighter, recyclable and free of PVC and latex, and it does not carry the strong chemical smell new PVC mats often have. It is generally the more comfortable and more environmentally sensible material.

What size is it?

60x25cm, which covers both knees side by side and rolls up small enough to carry with a mat.

Common questions

What thickness yoga mat should I choose?
Four to six millimetres is the usual compromise: stable enough for standing balance, padded enough for most floor work. Eight millimetres and above is kinder to the knees but noticeably less stable in balance poses.
How do I stop a yoga mat from slipping?
New mats often have a manufacturing film on them. Wash it with mild soap and water, let it dry fully, and use it a few times. Cork and natural rubber grip better as your hands get damp; PVC grips better when dry.
How do you clean a yoga mat?
Wipe it with diluted mild soap or a vinegar and water solution, then air dry flat or hanging. Do not put it in a washing machine or leave it in direct sun, which degrades the surface.
