EMS Won’t Build Your Glutes. It Will Help You Find Them.
The pads sit over gluteus maximus and medius and force an involuntary contraction by depolarising the motor nerves beneath them. That activation is real, and for the glutes it is unusually useful, because the most common failure in glute training is not effort — it is recruitment. People hip-hinge and the hamstrings and lumbar erectors quietly do the work while the glutes barely fire. What electrical current cannot do is build the muscle. Hypertrophy requires progressive mechanical overload through a full range of motion, and EMS supplies stimulus without load.
Key Benefits
- Solves the recruitment problem, not the growth problem — feeling the glute contract under a pad teaches you what you are supposed to be feeling under a barbell, and that transfer is the honest value of this device.
- Genuinely useful as pre-activation — run a session immediately before squats or hip thrusts and the muscle is already switched on when you load it.
- Counteracts a day of sitting — the glutes go quiet during long seated hours. A stimulus that requires nothing of you is worth something on the days you cannot train.
- Wireless pads with no gel sheets — nothing to re-buy, and no cable running to a control box, so it works under clothing.
- Multiple intensity levels — enough range to find a contraction that is visible and strong without being painful, which is where the useful zone sits.
- It will not grow or lift your buttocks — the category markets this as a growth and lifting device and that is not true. Glutes grow from progressively heavier hip extension. Use this alongside that work, not instead of it.
How to Use
Apply the pads to clean, dry skin with no lotion or oil, centring each one over the muscle belly rather than over the tailbone or the hip bone. Ramp the intensity up in single steps until you can see and feel a strong contraction that is not painful — pain means the intensity is too high or the pad is on a nerve, not that it is working better. Twenty minutes is a session. Then get up and immediately do two or three sets of a loaded hip extension — hip thrusts, glute bridges, split squats — while the recruitment is fresh, because that is where the actual adaptation happens. Safety: do not use if you have a pacemaker or any implanted electronic device, if you are pregnant, or if you have epilepsy, a heart condition or a circulatory disorder. Never place electrodes on the front of the neck, over the head or heart, or on broken, irritated or numb skin. Check with your doctor if you have any medical condition or reduced skin sensation.

Care & Maintenance
Wipe the electrode faces with a slightly damp cloth after use and let them air-dry before storing them on their backing. Do not use alcohol, detergent or solvents on gel-free pads — it strips the surface tack they rely on to conduct. Never submerge the unit. Recharge before extended storage.
