Exercise Mats & Flooring

Gym flooring is the first thing to buy for a home gym and the piece people buy last. It protects the floor beneath, cuts the impact noise that reaches neighbours, and gives a defined training area — which makes it psychologically easier to start.

This collection holds exercise mats and interlocking tiles for home gym floors.

What thickness do you need?

Thickness Suitable for Notes
6–10mm Bodyweight, yoga, band work Minimal noise reduction
15–20mm Dumbbells, general home gym The usual choice
25mm+ Dropped weights, upstairs rooms Best impact absorption

Frequently asked questions

Do interlocking gym tiles move around?

Not once the full area is laid and butted against a wall. Loose single tiles slide; a complete interlocked floor does not.

Will gym flooring stop my neighbours hearing me?

It reduces impact noise significantly but does not eliminate it. On an upper floor, combine thicker tiles with not dropping weights — the drop is what carries through a building, not the exercise.

Can I use EVA tiles on carpet?

Yes, though they feel less stable for heavy lifting. On short-pile carpet it is fine for bodyweight and dumbbell work.
