Neck & Shoulder Massagers

Neck and shoulder massagers target the upper trapezius and the base of the skull — the two places where a day of screens usually ends up. Kneading shiatsu nodes work slowly and broadly; percussion and heat work faster but need more care around the cervical spine.

We stock 35 neck and shoulder massagers, from $15 manual rollers to heated kneading wraps you can wear while working.

How to choose a neck massager

  • Shiatsu kneading wrap — drapes over the shoulders, hands-free, usually with heat. Best for general desk tension.
  • Handheld percussion — faster and more targeted, but keep it off the front and sides of the neck.
  • Manual roller or hook — no power, precise pressure, travels anywhere.
  • Heat only — a heated wrap alone relieves a surprising amount of trap tightness.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to massage your own neck?

The muscles across the top of the shoulders and the back of the neck, yes. Avoid the front and sides of the neck entirely — major blood vessels run there — and stop immediately if you feel dizziness, tingling or numbness.

How long should a neck massage session be?

Ten to fifteen minutes is plenty. Most electric massagers auto-stop at 15 minutes for a reason: longer sessions leave the area sore rather than looser.

Why does my neck get tight at a desk?

Usually because the screen is below eye level, so the head sits forward and the upper traps hold it there for hours. A massager relieves the symptom; raising the monitor removes the cause.
