For Knees That Take a While to Start
An arthritic or overused knee is usually at its worst at the beginning — the first steps out of bed, the first flight of stairs, the first minute of a walk. That’s stiffness in the connective tissue around the joint, and it responds well to warmth: heat raises local blood flow and makes that tissue more pliable, which is why the knee moves better after a hot shower. Vibration adds mechanical stimulation on top. Fifteen minutes before you start moving changes how the day begins.
Key Benefits
- Heat therapy loosens stiff connective tissue around the joint
- Vibration massage stimulates tissue and helps damp pain signalling
- Adjustable heat and intensity
- Wraps and secures — completely hands-free
- Good for arthritis stiffness, chronic ache and post-training soreness
- Fits either knee
How to Use
Wrap around the knee and secure. Start on the lowest heat — warmth should be pleasant, never hot enough to redden skin. Fifteen to twenty minutes. Use heat for stiffness and chronic ache. Do not use heat in the first 48 hours after an acute injury when the knee is swollen — cold is correct then, and heat will increase the swelling. Do not use on numb or broken skin, or while asleep. If you have diabetes, neuropathy or circulatory problems, speak to your doctor before using heat therapy.
