Why Heat Beats Toughing It Out — And Why Cordless Matters
Menstrual cramps are caused by prostaglandin-driven contractions of the uterine muscle, which squeeze local blood vessels and produce a genuinely ischaemic, oxygen-starved ache. Applied heat helps on two fronts: it causes local vasodilation, improving blood flow to the tissue that is being deprived, and it activates heat-sensitive TRPV1 receptors in the skin, which dampens the pain signal travelling up the spinal cord. Trials have found continuous low-level heat comparable to over-the-counter analgesics for period pain. The catch has always been the cable. Remove that, and heat becomes something you can actually apply for the several hours it takes to work.
Key Benefits
- Evidence-backed, drug-free relief. Topical heat is one of the few non-pharmacological cramp treatments with solid clinical support, and it carries none of the stomach-lining risk of repeated NSAID use.
- 5000mAh means all-morning coverage. Five to ten hours of run time depending on heat level, so it lasts through a commute, a workday, or a night on the sofa.
- Three heat levels, not one blunt setting. Start low for continuous wear and step up when a cramp peaks, rather than being stuck with a temperature that’s either useless or too hot.
- Wearable and discreet. Sits against the lower abdomen or lower back under clothing, so relief doesn’t mean lying still on a couch.
- Also works on lower-back ache. The same vasodilation effect helps non-specific lower-back stiffness and post-training soreness in the lumbar region.
- No microwave, no leaks. Unlike wheat bags or hot water bottles, the temperature is regulated and there’s nothing to spill.
How to Use
Charge fully, position the pad over the lower abdomen or the small of your back, and start on the lowest heat setting — a comfortable warmth, never a burn. Give it 15-20 minutes before judging whether to step the level up. Always keep a layer of clothing between the pad and bare skin. Do not fall asleep with it switched on, and do not use it on numb, broken, irritated or recently sunburned skin. If you have diabetes, peripheral neuropathy or any condition that dulls sensation, you can burn yourself without feeling it — check with your doctor first and inspect the skin regularly. Heat is the wrong tool within the first 48 hours of an acute injury such as a sprain or strain; use cold instead. And if your period pain is severe, worsening, or new, see a doctor — this pad relieves cramp pain, it does not diagnose what’s causing it.

Care & Maintenance
Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent; do not machine wash, soak or submerge the unit or its battery. If the cover is removable on your variant, remove it before washing it separately. Let it dry completely before charging or using again. Store flat rather than sharply folded — repeated creasing over the same line stresses the internal heating element. Stop using it immediately if you see damage to the cable, the port or the pad surface.
