Five Minutes, Standing Still
Feet carry everything and get almost no attention. Acupressure mats work on a simple principle: hundreds of blunt contact points spread across the sole, stimulating tissue and blood flow across the whole foot at once — the plantar fascia, the arch, the heel. It’s intense for the first thirty seconds and then it isn’t, and afterwards the feet feel noticeably looser.
Key Benefits
- Hundreds of acupressure points stimulate the whole sole simultaneously
- Encourages circulation in feet that spend all day in shoes
- Commonly used for plantar fascia tightness and general foot fatigue
- No effort required — you stand or sit, that’s the whole session
- Also works under the back when lying down
- Compact — store it under a desk or beside the bed
How to Use
Start with socks on for the first few sessions — barefoot is considerably more intense. Stand or step gently for 3 to 5 minutes, then build to 10 to 15 as tolerance improves. Do not use if you have diabetes with reduced foot sensation, peripheral neuropathy, open wounds or poor circulation in the feet, or if you are pregnant, without speaking to your doctor first.
