A Hot Water Bottle You Can Walk Around In
Heat genuinely works for menstrual cramps — there’s good evidence that local heat is comparable to over-the-counter painkillers for period pain, and it works by relaxing the uterine muscle and increasing blood flow. The problem has always been delivery: a hot water bottle means lying still, and it goes cold in twenty minutes. A belt gives you continuous, adjustable heat and leaves your hands and your day free.
Key Benefits
- Continuous adjustable heat — no reheating, no going cold
- Strapped in place, so you can move around and get on with things
- Effective for menstrual cramps and lower back ache
- Multiple heat levels
- Wearable under clothing
- Auto shut-off for safety
How to Use
Wrap around the lower abdomen or lower back and secure. Start on the lowest heat setting — heat should be pleasantly warm, never hot enough to redden the skin. Use for 20 to 30 minutes at a time with breaks. Do not sleep in it. Do not use on numb or broken skin, on an acutely injured area within 48 hours (use cold instead), or during pregnancy. If you have diabetes, neuropathy or circulatory problems, talk to your doctor before using heat therapy. Severe or worsening period pain should be assessed by a doctor — it is not something to simply manage with heat indefinitely.
