A Bottle That Gets Out of the Way When It’s Empty
Hydration is not a wellness slogan — it is measurable. Losing roughly two percent of your body mass in fluid is enough to blunt endurance, raise perceived effort and impair thermoregulation on a hot day. The reason people under-drink on the move is almost always friction: the bottle is bulky, awkward, or buried. Flexible silicone solves the packing half of that problem. The concertina walls fold down as the bottle empties, so a litre of water becomes a flat disc in your pack rather than a rigid cylinder you carry all the way home.
Key Benefits
- Collapses as it empties — the accordion body folds flat, freeing pack volume on the descent instead of rattling around as an empty shell.
- Food-grade silicone, not hard plastic — flexible, odour-resistant, and it survives being crushed, dropped or sat on in a way rigid bottles do not.
- Wide temperature tolerance — silicone handles hot and cold liquids and freezes without cracking, so it works for tea on a cold hike or ice water in summer.
- Genuinely light — the weight saving over a steel flask is small in absolute terms but you feel it over a full day on foot.
- Fits where rigid bottles won’t — a jacket pocket, a side mesh pouch, a stuffed carry-on, or a hip pack once it is folded.
- Squeeze-to-drink flow — the soft body lets you meter a mouthful without tipping your head back, which matters on uneven ground.
How to Use
Unroll the body fully before the first fill so the folds seat properly, then fill to the marked line and seal. Squeeze gently to drink rather than gulping from a tipped bottle. As the level drops, roll or press the body down and re-cap to keep it compact — do not force air back in, because trapped pressure can pop the lid. On trail, refill at every reliable water source rather than rationing; sipping little and often is absorbed better than a litre at once. Note: the silicone body is soft, so it is not a good choice for carbonated drinks or for clipping loose to the outside of a pack near sharp gear. Rinse it out before any long storage — a damp folded bottle is where mould starts.

Care & Maintenance
Rinse after every use and wash with warm soapy water and a bottle brush at least weekly — silicone is odour-resistant, not odour-proof, and sugary sports drinks will leave a film in the folds. Always dry it fully unrolled and open, never folded and damp. If it does pick up a smell, soak overnight in warm water with a spoon of bicarbonate of soda. Check the lid gasket periodically for grit, which is the usual cause of a leak.
