Cable Crossover Machine – High & Low Pulley Functional Trainer for Home Gyms

$829.99

A cable crossover machine with independent high and low pulleys, giving constant tension through the full range of a movement in a way free weights cannot. Covers chest flyes, lat pulldowns, tricep pushdowns, face pulls, rows and cable woodchops from one frame. Measure ceiling height and the width you need either side before ordering — crossovers need real floor space.

Constant Tension, Any Angle: Why Cables Beat Gravity

A dumbbell is only loaded against gravity, so a chest fly loses almost all of its tension at the top of the rep, exactly where the pec is shortest and most contractile. A cable redirects the load through a pulley, so resistance runs along the line of the cable instead of straight down. The muscle stays under tension through the entire range, and you can train horizontal, diagonal and rotational patterns — wood-chops, face pulls, cable crossovers — that gravity-based tools cannot load at all. High and low pulleys give you two independent lines of pull, and unilateral handles expose and correct the strength imbalance between your left and right sides.

Key Benefits

  • Constant tension through the full range of motion. Unlike free weights, the cable never gives you a dead spot at the top of the rep, which means more useful time under tension per set.
  • High and low pulleys cover every angle. High-to-low crossovers, low-to-high flyes, rows, pushdowns, curls, face pulls, wood-chops and pull-throughs from one frame.
  • Trains rotation and anti-rotation. Pallof presses and cable chops load the obliques and deep trunk stabilisers in the transverse plane — the plane almost every home gym ignores entirely.
  • Integrated pull-up bars. Vertical pulling built into the same footprint, so the machine covers the pattern most cable-only stations miss.
  • Independent handles reveal side-to-side imbalances. Working each arm separately stops a dominant side from quietly carrying the weaker one, as it does on a barbell.
  • Joint-friendly for return-to-training. Smooth, guided resistance with no bar to drop makes cables a common choice for rehabilitation and for training around a cranky shoulder.

How to Use

Position the machine on a flat, level floor with clear space on both sides for the full crossover arc, and secure or bolt it per the assembly instructions before loading it. Set the pulley height for the movement: high for crossovers and pushdowns, low for flyes, curls and pull-throughs, mid-chest for presses and rows. Take a split stance with a soft knee bend, brace the trunk, and step out until there is tension on the cable before your first rep — starting slack lets the stack slam and jerks the joint. Move through a controlled full range and resist the cable on the way back rather than letting it snap you home; the eccentric is where a large share of the adaptation happens. SAFETY: inspect the cables, carabiners and stitching on every handle and strap before each session and retire anything frayed — a cable failing under load releases the whole stack at speed. Never let go of a loaded handle, and keep children and pets away from the weight stack and moving pulleys.

Care & Maintenance

Wipe down the frame, handles and upholstery after each session to stop sweat corroding the steel. Every month, run the full length of each cable through your fingers to check for kinks, fraying or broken strands, and inspect the pulley wheels for cracks and free rotation. Lightly lubricate the guide rods with a silicone spray as the manual directs — never use a heavy grease that attracts grit. Check that all bolts remain tight and keep the machine in a dry indoor space; humidity and cable stacks age badly together.

What’s in the Box
