Digital Sports Stopwatch – Interval & Countdown Timer for Training

$23.99

A digital sports stopwatch with interval and countdown timing, for circuits, EMOM work, sprint sets and rest periods. A dedicated timer beats a phone for one practical reason — it does not ring, buzz or lock the screen halfway through a set. Large display, lanyard, and buttons you can hit with sweaty hands or gloves on.

The Rest Interval Is Part of the Workout

Most people treat rest as dead time and guess at it. But the recovery period is what determines which energy system you are actually training. Short, incomplete rests leave you working with partially depleted phosphocreatine stores and rising metabolite concentrations, driving a glycolytic, conditioning-style stimulus. Longer rests allow substantially more phosphocreatine resynthesis, so each subsequent set can be performed at high output — which is what you want when the goal is strength or power. Guessing at rest quietly turns a strength session into a conditioning session. A dedicated timer removes the guesswork, and it keeps your phone in your bag.

Key Benefits

  • Makes the rest interval a real variable. Prescribing and actually hitting your rest periods is the difference between a repeatable programme and an approximation.
  • Countdown mode for intervals. Set the work or rest period once and let it run — no counting seconds while trying to breathe.
  • Stop and restart function. Pause and resume mid-session without losing accumulated time.
  • Keeps your phone out of the session. A phone timer means unlocking a phone every ninety seconds, which means notifications, which means a forty-minute session that takes seventy.
  • Instant on, no charging, no pairing. A battery-powered stopwatch works in the cold, in the pool hall, at the track, and on the day you forgot to charge everything else.
  • Large digital display. Readable at a glance and at arm’s length, when you are breathing hard and not inclined to squint.

How to Use

For strength work, set the countdown for your prescribed rest — commonly around two to three minutes for heavy compound sets, shorter for accessory work — and start it the moment you rack the bar rather than when you feel ready. For interval running, use the countdown for the work period and the stopwatch to track total session time. For circuits, run the countdown on a loop for the work interval. The discipline that makes it useful is simple: start the timer when the set ends, and begin the next set when it beeps, whether or not you feel like it. Most people rest longer than they think between hard sets and shorter than they think between easy ones.

Care & Maintenance

Keep it dry — water resistance is not specified for this unit, so treat it as splash-resistant at best and do not take it into the pool or leave it in the rain. Wipe the case and screen with a dry cloth rather than solvents, which craze the plastic lens. If the display starts to dim or the timing behaves erratically, replace the battery before assuming the unit has failed. If you are storing it for months, remove the battery so a leaking cell cannot corrode the contacts.
