Electric Cupping & Gua Sha Massager – 12-Level Vacuum Suction

$71.99

An electric cupping and gua sha device with 12 suction levels, combining vacuum cupping with scraping in one rechargeable tool. Adjustable suction is the advantage over manual cups — you can start light and work up. Cupping leaves temporary circular marks that fade in three to seven days. Avoid it if you take blood thinners, have fragile skin, or are pregnant.

Suction, Shear and Blood Flow: How Cupping Actually Affects Tissue

Cupping applies negative pressure, lifting skin and superficial fascia away from the muscle beneath. This creates shear at the tissue interfaces and a strong local increase in blood flow — the characteristic circular marks are capillary leakage under the vacuum, not “toxins” being drawn out. Gua sha adds directional shear by dragging across the tissue. The plausible mechanisms for the relief people feel are increased local circulation, mechanical disruption of adhesions between fascial layers, and a neurological effect: strong sensory input from the skin appears to modulate pain signalling at the spinal level. The evidence supports short-term reduction in perceived muscle soreness and stiffness. It does not support detoxification, and it does not support cupping as a treatment for disease.

Key Benefits

  • 12 intensity levels, and use the low ones — most people go straight to maximum, get dramatic bruising, and conclude it “worked”. Start low; intensity is not the same as effectiveness.
  • Cupping and scraping in one device — combines vacuum suction with gua sha-style shear, covering both mechanical approaches without a second tool.
  • Increases local blood flow — the strongest and best-supported effect, and the plausible reason people feel loosened up afterwards.
  • Short-term relief of muscle stiffness and soreness — this is the outcome the evidence actually supports, and it is a real one.
  • USB rechargeable and cordless in use — reaches shoulders, back and legs without fighting a mains lead.
  • HONEST NOTE — it does not detoxify anything. The marks are bruises. Your liver and kidneys handle toxins; a suction cup does not. Anyone selling cupping as detox is selling you a story.

How to Use

Apply a light massage oil or lotion so the cup can glide and the seal is even — dry skin under vacuum is how you get a nasty circular bruise instead of a treatment. Begin on the lowest intensity for 30 seconds in one spot, or keep the device moving in slow strokes along the muscle. Do not leave a static cup on one point for more than about 3 to 5 minutes, and never on the same patch of skin on consecutive days. Mild redness is expected; deep purple marks mean you used too much suction for too long. SAFETY: do not use over broken, inflamed, sunburnt or infected skin, over varicose veins, moles or a fresh injury, on the face, on the abdomen if pregnant, or over the front of the neck. Avoid entirely if you take anticoagulants, have a bleeding disorder, deep vein thrombosis, or fragile skin. If this device also has a heat function, heat is not appropriate within 48 hours of an acute injury — use cold instead — and do not use heat on numb skin or if you have diabetes-related neuropathy.

Care & Maintenance

Detach and wash the cup head with warm soapy water after every use — oil residue degrades the silicone seal and suction performance falls off quickly if you skip this. Dry it completely before reattaching. Never immerse the motor unit in water. Recharge before the battery is fully flat, and store it somewhere dry and out of direct sun.

Common questions

Do you need oil for gua sha?
Yes for face and body work. The tool has to glide. Dragging a stone or steel edge across dry skin is what causes the redness and irritation people mistake for results.
Which direction do you gua sha the face?
Outward and upward from the centre of the face toward the hairline and jaw, following the lymphatic drainage direction, with light pressure and short repeated strokes.
How do you clean a gua sha tool?
Wash it with mild soap and warm water after each use and dry it fully. Do not put natural stone in boiling water or a dishwasher, which can crack it.
