Darkness and Sound Masking, in One Layer
Light is the master signal for your circadian clock. Even with your eyes closed, light passing through the eyelid reaches specialised retinal cells that suppress melatonin release and tell your brain it is still daytime — which is why a streetlight through thin curtains genuinely delays sleep onset. Complete darkness removes that signal. The second half of the problem is noise: it is rarely the steady hum that wakes you, but the sudden change — a door, a car, a snore. A continuous audio bed narrows the gap between background and spike, so fewer of those changes cross the threshold that triggers a micro-arousal. This mask addresses both at once, in something you can actually sleep in.
Key Benefits
- Genuine light block-out. A contoured seal around the nose bridge, where almost all sleep masks leak, rather than a flat strip of fabric laid over the face.
- Flat speakers you can lie on. Ordinary earbuds put a hard object between your ear and the pillow — the reason most side sleepers give up on sleep audio within a week. These sit flush inside the band.
- Pressure-free eye cavity. The mask is moulded so it does not press on the eyelids, which means you can blink and move your eyes freely; pressure on the globe is a common cause of waking up with the mask pulled off.
- One-touch operation. You can start, stop and skip without finding your phone in the dark — the moment of screen light is often what undoes the wind-down.
- App control for meditation tracks and timers. Set audio to fade out after you are likely asleep rather than playing all night.
- Packs flat for travel. Blackout plus sound masking is worth more on a plane or in a hotel room than it is in your own bed.
How to Use
Charge fully before first use. Fit the mask so the nose seal sits snug but not tight — you should be able to open your eyes inside it without touching fabric. Pair over Bluetooth, then set the volume low: you want the audio just above the level of the noise you are masking, not loud enough to be a stimulus itself. If you are using it to fall asleep, use the app’s fade-out timer rather than looping audio all night. Honest expectations: a sleep mask is a sleep-hygiene tool, not a treatment. It will not fix insomnia, sleep apnoea, or a wrecked schedule, and if you are regularly sleeping badly, that is worth raising with a GP. Safety: keep volume moderate — sustained high-volume audio close to the ear risks hearing damage, and you cannot judge volume well while half asleep. Never use it while driving or anywhere you need to hear your surroundings. Do not wear it while it is charging.

Care & Maintenance
This is an electronic product — do not submerge it or put it in a washing machine. Wipe the inner face with a barely damp cloth and let it dry fully before the next use. If your variant has a removable, washable outer band, remove the electronics module first. Store it flat rather than folded around the module, and recharge it every few months if it goes unused, since letting a lithium cell sit fully flat shortens its life.
