Roll Out the Knots You Can’t Stretch Away
Static stretching only takes you so far. A foam roller applies direct pressure to the fascia — the connective tissue that tightens after training, long drives and long desk days. Ninety seconds per muscle group is usually all it takes to restore range of motion. This 30cm roller is the size most people should own: long enough to lie across for thoracic extension, short enough to travel with.
Key Benefits
- High-density EVA holds its shape under bodyweight instead of flattening out after a month
- Textured surface grips skin and clothing so the roller tracks the muscle rather than sliding off
- Hollow core keeps it light (roughly 250g) without sacrificing firmness
- Beginner-friendly firmness — releases tissue without the bruising you get from ultra-hard rollers
- Works on every major group: quads, IT band, hamstrings, glutes, calves and thoracic spine
How to Use
Place the roller under the target muscle and support your weight on your hands or opposite leg. Roll slowly — about one inch per second. When you find a tender spot, stop and hold for 20 to 30 seconds until the sensation fades by roughly half. Spend 60 to 90 seconds per muscle group. Roll before training to prime tissue, or after to speed recovery. Never roll directly over a joint or the lower back.
