Cable Machine Movements, No Cable Machine
Glute kickbacks and standing hip abduction are two of the most effective glute exercises there are, and both normally require a cable stack. An ankle cuff plus a resistance strap replicates the movement pattern exactly — anchor the strap low, cuff your ankle, and you have the same line of pull for a fraction of the price and none of the queue.
Key Benefits
- Padded ankle cuffs that don’t dig in under load
- Replicates cable machine movements: kickbacks, abduction, adduction
- Targets glute max and glute medius directly
- Anchors to any door or fixed post
- Adjustable resistance
- Packs into a gym bag
How to Use
Anchor the strap low — at floor level for kickbacks, hip height for abduction. Fasten the cuff snugly above the ankle bone. Move slowly and squeeze at the end range; the glutes respond to the contraction, not to swinging the leg. Twelve to fifteen reps per side. Check the anchor before loading, and inspect the strap for wear before each use.
