32oz Motivational Water Bottle with Time Markers – Tritan, BPA-Free

$27.99

A 32oz BPA-free Tritan water bottle with hourly time markers, for people who forget to drink through a working day. The markers are a visual prompt rather than a prescription — actual hydration needs vary with body size, activity and climate. Wide mouth for ice and cleaning; wash the lid gasket separately, since that is where odour collects.

Why a Marked Bottle Works: Making Hydration Visible Instead of Remembered

Thirst is a lagging indicator. By the time you register it, plasma osmolality has already shifted, and mild dehydration measurably degrades endurance performance, thermoregulation and perceived effort long before you feel parched. The problem is rarely willpower — it’s that hydration is invisible, so it never becomes a habit. A time-marked bottle converts an abstract daily target into a physical, glanceable position on a wall of liquid. You aren’t remembering to drink; you’re checking whether you’re behind. That’s a change in the environment rather than the person, which is the kind of intervention that tends to survive contact with a busy day.

Key Benefits

  • Time markers turn a target into a checkpoint — you can see at a glance whether you’re on pace, which is far more effective than trying to remember.
  • 32oz means fewer refills — roughly a litre per fill covers a training session or half a working day.
  • Tritan copolyester, BPA-free — clear, impact-resistant and far tougher than standard plastic if it hits a gym floor.
  • Wide mouth — fits ice cubes, fruit, protein powder and a bottle brush, which is what actually keeps a bottle clean.
  • Leakproof lid — safe to throw in a gym bag with your phone, which is the real test of any bottle.
  • Dishwasher safe — a bottle you can’t easily clean is a bottle that grows a biofilm.

How to Use

Fill it in the morning and place it where you can see it — visibility is the entire mechanism. Sip steadily rather than gulping to catch up; drinking large volumes rapidly just means you urinate most of it out. Around training, drink to thirst and to the colour of your urine (pale straw is the target) rather than to a fixed number. Two important caveats: the markers are a generic prompt, not a personal prescription — actual fluid needs vary enormously with body size, climate, sweat rate and activity. And more is not always better. Drinking very large volumes of plain water rapidly, particularly during prolonged endurance exercise, can dilute blood sodium and cause hyponatraemia, which is dangerous. If you have a heart, kidney or liver condition, or you’ve been given a fluid restriction, follow your clinician’s guidance and ignore the bottle’s markings.

Care & Maintenance

Wash before first use and then daily — a bottle that only ever gets rinsed will develop a biofilm you can feel with a fingertip. Use a bottle brush on the base and a small brush in the lid threads and straw, where residue actually hides. Dishwasher safe on the top rack; avoid high-temperature sanitising cycles, which can craze plastic over time. Air-dry with the lid off. Don’t leave a full bottle in a hot car, and don’t use it for hot liquids.

Common questions

Can insulated bottles go in the dishwasher?
Usually not. Dishwasher heat can break the vacuum seal that makes a double-wall bottle insulate. Hand wash the body and wash the lid separately.
How do you get the smell out of a shaker bottle?
Rinse it the same day, then soak it with warm water and bicarbonate of soda overnight. Dried protein left in a sealed bottle is what causes the smell that never fully washes out.
How much water should I drink a day?
It depends on body size, heat and activity, so printed hourly markers on a bottle are a prompt rather than a target. Thirst and pale urine are more reliable guides than a fixed number.
