When you balance on one leg, a large share of your motor attention goes to postural correction — the constant micro-adjustments that keep you upright. How to Use
Set the bar height so that when you rest your hand on it your shoulder stays down and relaxed — if your shoulder rides up towards your ear, it is too high. Rest your hand on the barre; do not grip and haul on it. The classical cue is that you should be able to lift your hand off at any moment without losing your position, and if you cannot, you are leaning rather than balancing. Work through your usual sequence, then repeat key exercises with fingertip contact only, then without, to transfer the balance. Safety: this is a light support, not a pull-up bar or gymnastics apparatus — do not hang your bodyweight from it, sit on it, or let children swing on it. Set it up on a level, dry floor, check the height-adjustment clamps are locked before each session, and leave clear space around it.

Care & Maintenance
Wipe the bar down after use — hand oils and sweat sit on a powder-coated finish and dull it. Check the height-adjustment clamps and any assembly bolts every few weeks, as repeated loading and unloading works them loose. Inspect the rubber feet for wear or hardening and replace them once they stop gripping, since a barre that slides is a fall waiting to happen. Store indoors; powder coat resists scuffing but not sustained damp.
