Cold for Swelling, Heat for Stiffness
This is a reusable thermal knee patch at $29.58, adjustable and flexible enough to fit knees, elbows and other joints, usable as both a cold pack and a heat pack. Which one you reach for matters: cold constricts blood vessels and is for acute swelling and pain in the first days after an injury or a hard session. Heat opens blood vessels and is for stiffness, chronic aches and warming a joint before activity. Using heat on a freshly swollen joint makes it worse.
Key Benefits
- Wraps and stays. Flexible and adjustable, so it holds position on a knee or elbow while you move – the whole reason this beats a bag of ice.
- Hot or cold from one pack. Freeze it or warm it, indefinitely reusable.
- Fits multiple joints. Knees, elbows and other joints, not a knee-only shape.
- Contact across the joint. A flexible pack conforms to the joint instead of bridging over it and cooling nothing.
How to Use
- Cold: freeze, then apply for 15–20 minutes at a time with at least an hour between sessions. Put a thin cloth between the pack and bare skin.
- Heat: warm as directed and test against your inner wrist before applying. It should be comfortably warm, never hot.
- Use cold for fresh injury, swelling and post-workout inflammation; use heat for stiffness, old aches and warming up a joint.
- Do not sleep with either on, and never apply heat to a joint that is actively swollen.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I use ice or heat on my knee?
Ice for fresh injury, swelling and inflammation – it constricts blood vessels and reduces both. Heat for stiffness and chronic aches, or to warm a joint before activity. Heat on a freshly swollen knee will make the swelling worse.
How long should I ice for?
15 to 20 minutes at a time, with at least an hour before the next round, and always with a thin layer of cloth between the pack and bare skin. Longer sessions risk an ice burn without adding benefit.
Will it stay on my knee?
That is the point of a flexible wrap – it conforms to the joint and holds position, rather than sliding off the way a rigid pack or a bag of ice does the moment you move.
Can I use it on other joints?
Yes – it is adjustable and flexible enough for elbows and other joints, not shaped exclusively for a knee.
Is it really reusable?
Yes, indefinitely. Re-freeze or re-warm as needed. There is nothing consumable in it.
