Anti-Gravity Inversion Boots – Hanging Ab Crunches & Spinal Decompression

$110.99

Inversion boots that clamp above the ankle and hook over a pull-up bar, letting you hang upside down for spinal decompression and hanging ab crunches. Only ever use them on a bar rated for the load and mounted to structure, and have a way to get down. Do not use them if you have high blood pressure, glaucoma, heart problems or are pregnant — inversion raises pressure in the head and eyes.

Hang Upside Down to Decompress Your Spine — Safely

Stand up all day and gravity compresses your spine: the intervertebral discs are squeezed, they lose fluid, and you are measurably shorter by evening than you were at breakfast. Invert, and the load reverses. Hanging from the ankles applies axial traction along the spine, lowering the pressure inside the discs and creating the gradient that lets them draw fluid back in. Hooked into a bar, the same boots turn the hanging position into a training tool: a hanging crunch or leg raise gives your abdominals a very long lever to work against, with nothing to brace on and nowhere to cheat.

Key Benefits

  • Axial traction, not just a stretch. Your own bodyweight pulls the vertebrae apart along the length of the spine — a load direction you cannot easily replicate standing up.
  • Brutally honest core training. Hanging removes the floor. A hanging crunch or knee raise loads the abdominals through a long lever with no back support, so there is no way to fake the rep with hip flexors and a hard surface.
  • Hip flexor and quad decompression. Inverted hanging lengthens the front of the hip — a chronically shortened area for anyone who sits, cycles or squats a lot.
  • Cheaper and more portable than an inversion table. A pair of boots and an existing pull-up bar replaces a large piece of furniture.
  • Padded ankle cuffs with a locking closure. The whole design brief is that they do not let go. Which is also why you inspect them, every single time.
  • A real, temporary effect — honestly described. See below. We would rather you buy this understanding what it does than be disappointed.

How to Use

Read this whole section before you use them. Fit the boots snugly around the lower shin just above the ankle bone, cinch the closure fully and check the hooks are seated. Mount a bar rated for well above your bodyweight and its dynamic load — you will be swinging on it — and always have a spotter or a sturdy chair or box positioned so you can reach it to get back up. Start with 30 to 60 seconds of passive hanging and build slowly over weeks; come out of the inversion gradually, never with a sudden sit-up, and sit still for a minute afterwards before standing. Honesty: inversion produces a real but temporary decompression. It relieves pressure while you hang and for a while afterwards; it does not permanently realign your spine, it does not reverse a disc herniation, and the evidence that it produces lasting back-pain relief is limited and mixed. Treat it as symptomatic relief and mobility work, not a cure. Safety — this matters more than the product: inverting raises blood pressure in the head and significantly increases pressure inside the eye. Do not use these if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, a history of stroke, glaucoma or any retinal condition, a hernia, are pregnant, are on blood thinners, or have had recent surgery. If you have any medical condition at all, ask a doctor first. Never invert alone. Stop immediately if you feel head pressure, visual disturbance or dizziness. Inspect the hooks, stitching and closures before every single use.

Care & Maintenance

Wipe the boots down after every session; sweat sits in the padding and degrades both the foam and the stitching. Air dry away from direct heat. Before every use, inspect the hooks for deformation, the buckles for cracks and the stitching for fraying — this is load-bearing equipment holding your entire bodyweight upside down, so retire them at the first sign of wear rather than the last. Store dry and out of sunlight.

Common questions

How long should you lie on a back stretcher?
One to two minutes on the lowest setting to begin with, building up gradually. Getting off slowly, by rolling to your side, avoids straining the back on the way up.
Who should not use a back stretcher?
Anyone with a disc problem, osteoporosis, spinal stenosis, recent spinal surgery, or who is pregnant should get clinician advice before using an arched stretcher.
Should a back stretcher hurt?
It should feel like a firm opening stretch. Sharp pain, or pain that travels down a leg, means stop and get it assessed rather than pushing to a higher setting.
