About the ‘BFR’ on the Label
These are sometimes marketed with ‘BFR’ — blood flow restriction — in the name, and we want to be careful here rather than sell you something on a misunderstanding. Genuine BFR training is a specific technique using calibrated cuffs at a measured, individualised pressure, and it is done under professional supervision for good reason: applied wrongly it carries real risks, including nerve damage and, in susceptible people, clotting. Fabric resistance bands are not BFR cuffs, they are not calibrated, and they should not be used to deliberately restrict blood flow. Used as intended — as hip and glute resistance bands — they’re excellent. Do not use them to try to occlude circulation.
Key Benefits
- Non-slip fabric that stays put and doesn’t roll like latex loops
- Targets glute medius and max for hip stability and strength
- Wide band distributes pressure comfortably
- Latex-free
- Suits men and women
- Use for activation and for loaded strength work
How to Use
Place above or below the knees for lateral walks, clamshells, glute bridges, hip thrusts and banded squats. Press the knees outward against the band throughout. Do not use these as blood flow restriction cuffs. They are not designed, calibrated or safe for that, and BFR should only ever be done under qualified supervision. If a band ever feels tight enough to cause tingling, numbness or colour change in the leg, it is too tight — loosen or reposition it.
