Steel Doesn’t Fatigue
Plastic grippers lose their resistance. The material creeps under repeated load, and within a year the thing that used to be hard is easy — not because you got stronger, but because it got weaker. Steel spring doesn’t do that. What you close today is what you’ll be closing in five years, which means your progress is real progress and not equipment fatigue.
Key Benefits
- Steel spring that holds its resistance for years, unlike plastic
- Anti-slip handles — no tearing calluses or losing grip mid-rep
- Builds crushing grip, the limiter on most deadlifts and pulls
- Develops forearm size and endurance
- Compact — desk drawer, car, gym bag
- Effectively indestructible
How to Use
Close for 8 to 12 slow reps, and control the opening — do not let the spring snap back, because the eccentric phase is where much of the adaptation happens. Three sets, two or three times a week. Grip recovers slowly and overtrains easily. Balance this with hand-extension work — opening the hand against a rubber band — or you’ll build a flexor-dominant forearm, which is a well-known route into tennis elbow. Stop on any sharp elbow, wrist or finger pain.
