Sports Knee Pads – Protective Knee Support for Hiking, Basketball & Cycling

Price range: $15.99 through $25.99

Sports knee pads protect the knee during hiking, court sports and floor work. They are padded compression sleeves with a shock-absorbing pad over the patella, sold as a pair. Padding is for impact on hard surfaces; a knee that feels unstable needs a stabiliser sleeve with side supports instead.

Two Jobs, One Pad

A knee sleeve supports a joint. A knee pad protects it from impact. Court sports and trail descents need both — the compression that keeps the joint stable and proprioceptively aware, and the padding that means a fall onto hardwood or rock doesn’t end your season. These combine them into something you can wear for hours without noticing.

Key Benefits

  • Impact padding over the kneecap for falls, dives and kneeling
  • Compression sleeve supports the joint and improves position awareness
  • Breathable knit for extended wear
  • Anti-slip bands that stop the pad migrating mid-game
  • Suits hiking, basketball, volleyball, cycling and trade work
  • Flexible enough for full knee bend

How to Use

Roll on from the foot so the padded section sits centrally over the kneecap. Snug, not constricting — full flexion should be comfortable. Wear during activity. Remove at night.

Common questions

Where should a patella strap sit?
About an inch below the kneecap, over the patellar tendon. Worn on the kneecap itself it does nothing, which is the single most common mistake with these straps.
Should I choose a sleeve or a hinged brace?
A compression sleeve gives warmth, swelling control and proprioceptive feedback. A hinged or spring-stabilised brace resists sideways movement. If your knee feels unstable or gives way, that needs assessment, not just a sleeve.
How do I size a knee sleeve?
Measure the circumference just above the kneecap with the leg straight. A sleeve that rolls down is too large; one that leaves deep marks or makes the lower leg tingle is too small.
