Knee Braces & Supports

A knee brace either compresses the joint, tracks the kneecap, or physically limits the movement that hurts — and which one you need depends entirely on whether the knee is sore or unstable. Sore but stable knees do well with a compression sleeve; knees that give way need a hinged or stabilised brace.

Measure 4in above the middle of the kneecap with the leg straight to find your size. This is the measurement almost every returned brace got wrong.

Frequently asked questions

How do I measure for a knee brace?

Stand with the leg straight and relaxed. Measure the circumference 4in above the centre of the kneecap. If you are between sizes and want all-day comfort, take the larger; for training support, take the smaller.

Can I run in a knee sleeve?

Yes — compression sleeves are designed for it and add warmth and joint awareness without restricting the stride. Hinged braces are generally too bulky for running.

Should I wear a knee brace all day?

Compression sleeves, yes if comfortable. Firm braces are best worn for the activity that provokes symptoms and removed at rest, so the muscles around the knee keep working.
