Wooden Acupoint Massage Stick – Meridian Trigger Point Tool

$18.99

A wooden acupoint massage stick is an unpowered tool used to apply pressure along meridian lines and trigger points. It is turned hardwood with a rounded or knobbed end, shaped for one-handed use. Press and hold for 20-30 seconds rather than rubbing hard, and keep it on muscle rather than bone.

A Point, Not a Surface

Rollers spread pressure. That’s exactly right for a quad and exactly wrong for a knot the size of a pea in the sole of your foot or the web of your hand. A pointed acupoint stick concentrates force into a small area — reproducing what a therapist does with a thumb, but without your thumb giving out first, which it always does.

Key Benefits

  • Pointed tip concentrates pressure the way a therapist’s thumb does
  • Saves your thumbs — which fatigue long before the muscle releases
  • Precise on feet, hands, forearms and between the shoulder blades
  • Solid wood — full pressure transmission
  • No batteries
  • Small enough for a pocket

How to Use

Press the tip into the tender point with steady, increasing pressure until you feel a firm ache — not sharp pain. Hold for 20 to 30 seconds until the sensation reduces by roughly half, then release slowly. Repeat two or three times. Do not press on bone, joints, the spine, the front of the neck, varicose veins or broken skin. Pressure points can be uncomfortable; they should never be agonising.

Common questions

How do you use a massage ball on your back?
Place it between your back and a wall, lean into it, and move slowly until you find a tight spot. Hold there for twenty to thirty seconds. Using a wall rather than the floor lets you control exactly how much pressure goes through the ball.
What is the difference between a single ball and a peanut ball?
A peanut ball has two lobes with a channel between them, so it straddles the spine and works the muscle either side without pressing on the vertebrae. A single ball is better for the glutes, feet and shoulder blades.
How long should you hold pressure on a trigger point?
Twenty to thirty seconds, breathing normally. Release if the area goes numb or tingly rather than simply aching.
