Ankle Support Brace – Compression Sleeve for Plantar Fasciitis & Sprains

Price range: $15.99 through $19.99

An ankle support brace is a compression sleeve that supports the arch and ankle for plantar fasciitis and mild instability. It is a slip-on knit sleeve with targeted compression zones, thin enough for shoes. Wear it from the first steps of the morning, when plantar fascia tissue is tightest.

Stability Without the Bulk

Rigid braces protect an ankle by stopping it moving. That’s right after an acute sprain, and wrong for almost everything else. A compression sleeve takes the opposite approach: it supports the joint through its normal range, improves proprioception — your sense of where the joint is in space — and reduces the swelling that follows load. Thin enough to disappear inside a shoe, which means you actually wear it.

Key Benefits

  • Graduated compression supports the joint and helps control swelling
  • Improves proprioception, the joint-position awareness that helps prevent re-injury
  • Arch and heel support commonly used for plantar fasciitis relief
  • Low-profile knit fits inside trainers, boots and work shoes
  • Breathable, moisture-wicking — wearable all day without becoming clammy
  • Sold as a pair

How to Use

Roll the sleeve on from the toes and settle it so the heel opening sits correctly on the heel. It should feel snug, never numbing. Wear during training, on long days on your feet, or overnight for plantar fasciitis. Remove if you notice numbness, tingling or discolouration. This is a support sleeve, not a treatment for an acute fracture or severe sprain — see a clinician for those.

Common questions

Do I need a sleeve or a strapped brace?
A sleeve gives compression and feedback, which suits mild swelling and prevention. A strapped or figure-eight brace resists the ankle rolling, which is what you want after a sprain or if the ankle gives way.
Can you wear an ankle brace inside shoes?
Low-profile sleeves and thin strapped braces fit inside most trainers. Rigid stirrup braces usually need a half-size larger shoe or one with a removable insole.
How long should I wear an ankle brace after a sprain?
Through the activity that provokes it, and less over time as strength returns. Continuous bracing for months allows the supporting muscles to weaken, so pair it with rehab exercise.
