A Posture Brace That Nags You Instead of Doing the Work For You
Here is the uncomfortable truth about posture braces: strapping your shoulders back is passive support, and passive support means the muscles that should be holding you there get to switch off. Wear a rigid brace all day and you can end up weaker than you started. Postural change is a motor-control problem, not a strapping problem — the reason you slouch is that your nervous system stopped noticing you were slouching. This device attacks the actual problem. A sensor detects when your torso angle drifts forward past a threshold and vibrates. That buzz is external feedback filling in for the awareness you lost, and repeated often enough, it rebuilds the habit of noticing. You correct yourself. That is the whole mechanism, and it is the right one.
Key Benefits
- Cues you instead of propping you up. The vibration prompts you to correct your own posture, so your own postural muscles do the work. That is how habits change; a strap that holds you in place cannot do it.
- Adjustable sensitivity and delay. Set how far you can slouch and for how long before it buzzes, so you’re not being buzzed every time you lean forward to pick up a mug.
- Rechargeable 400mAh battery. Charges over USB and runs for days of normal office use on a charge — no coin cells to hunt for.
- Discreet under clothing. Thin figure-eight shoulder harness sits under a shirt or jumper, so it can be worn through a working day at a desk without it being anyone else’s business.
- Works for the actual problem hours. Desk work, driving, studying, phone use — the sustained-flexion positions where posture quietly collapses and you never notice until your neck aches at 4pm.
- An honest limit, stated plainly. A posture corrector is a cue, not a cure. It will not lengthen a short pec, strengthen a weak mid-back, or fix a structural spinal condition. Pair it with strengthening work — rows, face-pulls, thoracic extension — or it becomes a buzzing bracelet for your torso.
How to Use
Charge fully, then fit the figure-eight harness over your shoulders so the sensor unit sits flat between your shoulder blades. Sit or stand in your best posture and calibrate — the device learns that position as neutral, so calibrating while slumped will teach it the wrong thing. Start at low sensitivity and wear it for 20–30 minutes at a time, one to three sessions a day, building up as it becomes second nature. When it buzzes, lift through the sternum and set the shoulder blades down and back — don’t just yank your shoulders backwards. Safety and an important limit: do not wear this all day, every day. Deconditioning is a real risk with any postural device, and the whole point is to need it less over time. Do not over-tighten the straps — if you get pins and needles, numbness, or arm tingling, the harness is compressing nerves at the shoulder and must be loosened immediately. Do not use over a fresh injury, a fracture, or after spinal surgery without medical clearance, and stop if wearing it increases your pain.

Care & Maintenance
Detach the electronic module before cleaning anything — it is not waterproof and must never be submerged or rinsed. Wipe the module with a dry or barely damp cloth. Hand wash the fabric harness in cool water with mild soap, and air dry fully before reattaching. Charge with the supplied cable only. Store somewhere dry and charge the battery every few months if it is unused, since lithium cells degrade if left flat for long periods.
