Wrist & Elbow Support

Wrist and elbow supports fall into two jobs: holding a joint still so irritated tissue can settle, or adding stiffness so you can load it harder. A splinted wrist brace does the first; a lifting wrist wrap does the second, and they are not interchangeable.

This collection holds 25 wrist and elbow supports, from overnight carpal tunnel splints to competition-grade wrist wraps.

Matching the support to the problem

Problem Support When to wear it
Wrist pain at a keyboard, tingling at night Splinted wrist brace Overnight and at the desk
Wrist collapse under heavy presses Wrist wraps During heavy sets only
Pain on the outside of the elbow Tennis elbow strap During the aggravating activity
General elbow ache, warmth Compression elbow sleeve As needed

Frequently asked questions

Do wrist braces help carpal tunnel?

A neutral-position splint worn overnight is one of the standard first-line self-care measures, because symptoms often flare when the wrist bends during sleep. Persistent numbness or weakness should be assessed by a clinician.

How tight should lifting wrist wraps be?

Tight enough to stop the wrist bending back under load, loose enough that you can unwrap them between sets. They are not meant to be worn through a whole session.

Where does a tennis elbow strap go?

Around the forearm about 2in below the elbow crease, over the muscle belly rather than on the joint itself. It should feel firm but not cut off circulation.
